So, I am officially official. Married...again...to the same man...with no divorce in between (though planning a wedding makes you consider it...just kidding).

It was a BEAUTIFUL day! I don't know what the temp was, but the sun was shining and it was beautiful. The day was incredible. Everyone was on time...even Tiff. Haha!

The night before was super fun. Tiff (maitron of honor) got us all together for dinner, since the girls only met once at the shower, where their time was mostly occupied (with me of course). We went out to Texas Roadhouse. The food was delicious and we had a BLAST! I also got to visit with Lukas before dinner. I had missed him so much. It had been raining all day, so he was done with running around and visiting, but he still gave me big smiles and played with me on the floor.

We started Sunday morning at 9 with my hair. My sister literally rocked it out. She had a very full schedule. She did everyone's hair, including mom's and her own, and my and her make up. On top of all that going on, my friend Andrea came over to do make up for my mom, Tiff, and Jen. She sells Mary Kay and it really helped us time wise. She brought her two sons, Samuel 3, and David 1. On top of that, she's preggers and due in just 2 weeks. We actually had a huge blast playing with the boys and taking turns being beautified.

After that, off to Cool Creek to rehearse. My mom, mother-in-law, and our friend Andy (who was in the party) and his wife Erika helped set up early in the morning. When I got there, it was perfect. Even better, Joel, Sara, and Isaac were there! It took about three minutes before Mom had asked Sara to hand over the baby. It made me smile. (As always, Sara was very gracious...and adorable. Such a great Mommy already!)

We did our run through, which went really well. I felt a little bit bridezilla-ish at that time, since I had exactly what I wanted in mind and tried to run it through as quickly as possible so we could get as many pics out of the way as possible. Everyone caught on well and it flowed through perfectly. At that point, I realized that I'd made a perfect call asking Joel to do our announcements. He's always been able to read my mind, and he knew EXACTLY how I wanted the music to work. Joel: you are amazingly awesome!

After that it was time to change into our pretties! Matt (my good friend and photographer) had to climb up to get some pictures of me getting in my dress. They turned out well. We had a blast with the dress, actually, though it is time consuming.

Snap some pics, touch up the make up, say a prayer, time for the ceremony! Also wonderful. Dale did a great job with the ceremony. I'd only given him a few things that I wanted, and since Chris and I weren't really sure how we wanted it to go, but Dale nailed it! Everything he shared was so neat!

Afterward, family pics, then FOOD!!! I tried to keep it all moving, so I hope everyone was happy with the small wait time. I thought it was good. ;) Joel's prayer before announcing tables was so sweet. Best. Cousin. Ever.

We greeted after food, then cake, then dancing. We also snapped some outside pics that turned out beatifully. I was lucky to have multiple "photographers." Matt was the official one, but my brother-in-law Ken, Tiffers, Joel, KoolAid...I can't remember who else took pics. There were flashes all over. I had my rock star celebrity moment.

All in all, a great day.

But I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad it's over!

To happiness!

Wow, we're getting down into the final moments. I am really starting to get excited and panic. Everyone keeps asking if I'm ready. I answer them each differently. Sometimes I say yes, something no, sometimes almost. It's all good, though. It's coming together.

I really, really appreciate everyone pitching in. My maitron of honor is helping me assemble favors and had sent out the update cards for the ceremony change. My sis is doing hair and make up. Jen, my other bridesmaid is doing all the music, downloading, mixing, burning to CD. My friend from high school, Matt, is taking my pics and spending the WHOLE DAY with me! One of the girls from work, Rachel, typed, printed, and copied my programs. 2 of the guys got us balloons to decorate with. My good friend Andrea is coming over and doing make up for 2 of my girls to lessen the load on my sis. My mom took me to lunch today and is helping to pick up the flower tomorrow, is hosting us to get ready Sunday. Chris's mom did all the reception stuff...like almost literally all of it. Our groomsman Andy's wife Erika is helping to set up. Joel is doing announcements at the ceremony for me since we don't have a dj.

And Chris is going to be my husband. He's good at it.

Now, I am off to pick up a pizza for Chris for when he gets off work (as  he does not get any days off other than sunday for the reception) and unload the dishwasher. (Why doesn't housework go away when you're too busy? There should be a button for that!)

*peeks out from under table* (just like when they used to read that Ernie's afraid of his shadow book)

Is it over yet?

I've always had difficulty in my Christian walk with guilt (I can't believe I've messed up again! I'm a horrible person!) and self-reliance (I'll be really good so I can fall in God's favor. I'll fix this and things will be great). They're my big problem areas, and as He does, God's been working on those things in my life. The cool thing that I've come to learn and realize is that even though our human nature makes it so easy to fall out of God's plan, God's grace is so amazing and full that He allows it to be so easy to regain that steady walk with Him.

That's sweet!

Well, last time I updated, no one really noticed, but I can try again. *shrug*

It is currently 7 weeks and 2 days until the formal wedding. I'm freaking out. I have way too much to do and practically no time to do it!!! It's weird that it's actually happening. I think that's what i'm having a hard time with.

Everyone is having babies! But not me. So don't ask. (My father-in-law has twice already...on consecutive weeks.)

Speaking of the in-laws, my mother-in-law will be having a lumpectomy of a small tumor found at her last mammogram. Please pray for her. The doctors think that it can all be removed and a special focused 5 day radiation treatment can be adminstered after which, nothing else should need to be done. Please pray that it turns out that way!

Uh...work is craziness. We're still constantly reassuring our patients that we will be there to take care of them. They've been really good about the entire situation though. Most of them ask us how we're doing with our loss. Unfortunatly, even without one provider, we're still short staffed and working like crazy people. I just constantly say to myself that I'm so lucky to have a job and a secure job. There's practically no chance I could be fired. The building would have to burn down. So, I guess that's a good thing to focus on: job security. Amen!

Chris is working overnight this week. He's been fortunate to get a lot of overtime, so he's very happy about that. (me too!) We had a very fun day together Thursday. Probably the best part about it was just laying around together and watching rally videos on you tube. Ahh...memories.

So, I guess that's about it. My shower is next Sunday and I'm very excited about that - mostly because I get to see Lukas! And I miss him! But my shower will be good too, of course. I'm a little nervous about what is to go on that day....It's in my sister, best friend, and Mom's hands. Uh oh!
